Disappointed with My Purchase and the Store’s Policy
I bought a pair of sandals from this store for R500.00 during a sale. They were brand new and looked fine in-store, but after wearing them just twice, they broke. When I inspected them closely at home, I realized they were already damaged — something I hadn’t noticed initially.
I returned to the store the very next day, but they refused to exchange or refund the item, stating that sale items are non-refundable. It now seems the sandals were on sale because they were faulty — which feels misleading and dishonest.
I'm currently out of South Africa, but when I return, I plan to take the sandals back and expect a proper resolution. Be cautious when buying sale items here — inspect them very carefully, as they may be damaged and the store will not take responsibility.
